Harmony at Home is a mobile app developed by Harmony Academy, a division of National University.
Harmony Academy fosters knowledge, skills, and attitudes youth need to create meaningful relationships, engage in rigorous learning, and build skills needed now and into the future. We help families build stronger relationships and develop essential life skills using research-backed content and interactive activities.
By focusing on life skill development, our comprehensive resources and support provide opportunities for young people to build and nurture healthy relationships, giving them the tools they need to grow into responsible adults and community members. We believe that championing this philosophy through innovative programs and resources are the spark that ignites the transformative success of every child.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
a. Personal Information
- Email address – required during account registration
- Names or codenames for family members – optional and user-provided
- Authentication info – such as Google or Apple ID if using single sign-on (SSO)
b. Usage & Behavioral Information
- In-app interactions and activity (e.g., feature usage, session duration)
- Clickstream data and app flow tracking for experience improvement
c. Device & Technical Data
Collected automatically via Firebase and app store SDKs:
- Device model, OS, and unique identifiers
- IP address and region-level location
- Crash logs and performance diagnostics
- App version and install/uninstall metrics
d. Payment Information
All in-app purchases are processed via the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment details directly.
e. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
While our app does not use traditional browser cookies, we may use tracking technologies through Firebase and mobile analytics tools to understand aggregate behavior and improve your experience.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Operate and maintain the app
- Authenticate users and enable account access
- Personalize your experience
- Improve features and monitor performance
- Respond to support requests
- Generate aggregate usage reports (e.g., for partner schools/districts)
In B2B2C distribution, anonymized engagement data may be shared with school or district partners to help them understand overall usage trends.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your data. We only share information with:
- Firebase (analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring)
- Internal product and support teams (to address bugs, feedback, and trends)
- School or district partners, where applicable, in aggregated and de-identified form
5. Children’s Privacy
Harmony at Home is designed for parents and caregivers, not for unsupervised use by children. As such, the following apply:
- Children may co-use the app with adults, but we do not collect personal information directly from children.
- Optional child-related entries (e.g., names or nicknames) are controlled by the adult user and are not required.
We comply with COPPA, FERPA, and CIPA standards.
6. Account Management
Users can:
- Edit their email or password
- Use Google or Apple SSO for sign-in
- Request account deletion (which also deletes their personal data)
- Request a copy of their stored personal information
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have additional specific rights under laws such as the GDPR, CCPA, and others. These may include:
- Right to access your personal data
- Right to correct inaccurate information
- Right to delete your information (“right to be forgotten”)
- Right to restrict or object to processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to opt-out of certain types of processing or data sharing
- Right to appeal data-related decisions
- Right to file a complaint with relevant authorities

8. Use of AI Technologies
As of the date of this policy, Harmony at Home does not use artificial intelligence or machine learning tools to process personal information. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated to reflect any automated decision-making practices and your related rights.
9. International Use
Harmony at Home is currently intended for users in the United States. If used internationally, your data may be processed in the U.S., and you are solely responsible for complying with your local data laws.
10. Data Security
We apply industry-standard security practices, including:
- Data encryption in transit
- Secure authentication via SSO and password login
- Access controls limiting who can view your information
- Regular internal audits of data use and permissions
